POST-FASHION is a collaboration between LASALLE College of the Art and TANGS. The initiative kicked off with a showcase held on Thursday, 5 May 2016, jointly presented by Singapore Fashion Week. The runway was embellished with 21 collections by the graduating students of of 2016’s BA (Hons) Fashion Design and Textiles Programme.
Taking its cue from current fashion trends of “see now, buy now”, six selected collections will be retailed at the second edition of the LASALLE X TANGS Pop Up Store collaboration and on TANGS.com from Thursday 5 May till Thursday 26 May 2016.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this collection will go to the loveLASALLE Education Fund. Initiated in 2012, the fund aims to be self-sustaining, with contributions from the LASALLIAN community, private individuals and major corporations. All funds received will go towards providing critical aid to students.
“The fashion industry is changing globally. In an industry that constantly demands novelty at an extremely fast pace, where trends become obsolete quickly, consumers are asking for more from the retail world. POST-FASHION is a reflection on these changes and an open window to what the fashion industry could be tomorrow.”
