INSPIRATION: THE SANCHAYA
In the midst of our fast-paced and hectic régime, it is vital that we all have a safe nest where we can crawl into to refresh the body and mind. It could be great yoga session, a trip to the spa with the girls or even a short haul getaway. A common favourite is the bathroom. Most of us would agree that the bathroom is our go-to sanctuary – a place of quiet, to relax and recuperate from a long day.
This got us reminiscing over the swoon-worthy Sanchaya Resort in Bintan Island. Set on the pristine sands of Lagoi Bay, this lavish resort houses 21 villas and 9 suites offering sweeping views of the shimmering ocean.
The luxurious bathrooms are utterly desirable. We couldn’t help but coo over the colonial style haven bathed in neutral, crisp white and earthy tones. We simply couldn’t get enough so we just had to bring this lavish style into our bathroom.
We selected a mix of rich wooden furnishings like an antique table and decorative bamboo ladder together with white and neutral-toned pieces to replicate the grandiose colonial style. With just a few adjustments you could turn your bathroom into a sanctuary in no time.
