One colour combination that never seems to fail is black and gold. It is a classic pairing that has stood the test of time and designers around the world refer to it season after season. It’s an easy way to jazz up a classic black look and a dramatic addition to any room.
Black and gold has always been a personal favourite colour combination so you can expect to see a lot of it in Travelshopa Collections. I love gold metal on handbags, earrings and belts. At home, I have splashes of gold accents snuck in sidetables, photo frames and utensils. As for black, I can’t go by a classic black frame for a photo, print or as a statement room accessory.
Do you like black and gold? How would you use these items?
You know what they say… ”You don’t mess with the classics!”. These understated-chic black onyx and gold earrings are effortlessly elegant, even if I may say so myself. I had so much fun working with Natalie when designing these, and learned a lot about stones, metals, and jewellery design in the process. I have hardly taken my pair off. I wear them to glam up everyday office attire and with jeans and a crisp white shirt on the weekend. I daresay these hand-cut black beauties will never fail, and will be my go-to studs for some time to come.
I can’t get enough of the intricate woodwork of this ebony bespoke frame by Shiva Designs Bespoke. It’s striking enough to be hung up on its own or used to hold gallery style photos or black and white illustrations (think French-chic). This black vintage-style frame would also add a tinge of drama to a bland space. If black is not your colour, you can choose among several other hues.
I love this Freedom Bird cup set from The Shophouse. The delicate black and gold details make them so elegant, and I think they’d be the perfect accessory for a bedroom or bathroom. I’d use them to store makeup brushes or jewellery, or as a nice little teatime accessory. What a gorgeous gift they’d make for a friend’s birthday or a special hostess.
