Pantone paints Fall 2015’s scenery with a palette of bold colour statements and earthy neutrals that are an adventurous cocktail of fun, fantasy and all things natural. This Fall, designers do not assign colours to a specific gender, instead choosing to look to sartorial styling and fabrics to define both a masculine and feminine interpretation of hues and colour combinations. Take for instance a colour such as Stormy Weather, which can take the form of delicate layers of tulle or grainy textured wool to cater to each gender.
The Pantone Fall 2015 trend forecast depicts an “evolving colour landscape” – a stark contrast between down-to-earth neutrals such as Stormy Weather, Dried Herb, Desert Sage and the intensity of Amethyst Orchid, Reflecting Pond, Oak Buff, Marsala, Cashmere Rose and Cadmium Orange.

Dried Herb (PANTONE 17-0627)
Often relegated to the realms of safari or military, Dried Herb is a neutral green with earthy brown undertones that has been reimagined into many sophisticated and chic designs and colour pairings.
Biscay Bay (PANTONE 18-4726)
Luxuriate in the soothing and invigorating qualities of Biscay Bay, a lush and elegant teal that perfectly balances fiery and warm tones. A popular shade for fall, Biscay Bay perks up dull hues with its refreshing touch.
Cashmere Rose (PANTONE 16-2215)
Taking things up a notch is Cashmere Rose, which delivers a tactile and soft twist to the 60s trend. Calm and collected, this powdery rose hue gives off a distinguished, upscale vibe.
Reflecting Pond (PANTONE 19-4326)
This serious shade of inky blue conveys a mysterious depth that is both safe and alluring. Wear it the way you would black or juxtapose it against some flashing hues for a bold, urban look.
Oak Buff (PANTONE 16-1144)
Reminiscent of the golden hues of fall’s foliage, Oak Buff is a beautiful autumn reminder. Mellow, comforting and warm, Oak Buff is the perfect accompaniment to the darker shadows of fall.
Marsala (PANTONE 18-1438)
We’ve already expressed our love for this rich yet adaptable shade! But here it is again – a beautiful earthy wine-red that is captivating in its uniqueness. Pair it with Reflecting Pond or Stormy Weather to flatter Fall’s personality.
Cadmium Orange (PANTONE 15-1340)
Lighthearted and radiant, Cadmium Orange is a subtly dramatic hue that is striking enough to stand on its own or act as a bold contrast. The current 70s fashion revival makes this bright and playful orange one to try.
Desert Sage (PANTONE 16-0110)
An unlikely neutral, Desert Sage is a silvery green that is both soft and edgy. Elegant and sophisticated, sage complements every colour across the Fall 2015 palette, and is the perfect nature-inspired colour for fall.
Amethyst Orchid (PANTONE 17-3628)
Quite possibly the most unexpected colour this season, Amethyst Orchid is a vivid and enchanting purple that is bold and imaginative. A highly stimulating hue, Amethyst Orchid is sure to refresh your Fall palette.
