A prime destination for furniture and décor enthusiasts, Tan Boon Liat Building has a new stellar tenant to add to the mix. Singapore Trading Post has just made the move to be in the company of other well-known furniture stores such as Journey East, The Shophouse, Make Room and Mountain Teak. With so many furniture and homeware stores for our browsing pleasure, Tan Boon Liat Building sure lives up to its name as “Singapore’s furniture hub”!

Offering a carefully sourced supply of quality international homewares, Singapore Trading Post is your resource for one-of-a-kind home accessories and décor objects with a weathered and worldly allure. Paying homage to Singapore’s past as a vital trading post for the East India Company in 1819, owners Robert and Jo get their haul of vintage-inspired treasures from exploratory trips to historic East India Trading Company ports such as Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh as well as Indonesia, Vietnam and Myanmar.

With years of experience running Singapore’s renowned Expat Auctions under their belts, the owners have developed a trained eye for uncovering distinctive hidden gems that impart a unique quality to the home. Expect to find an abundance of eclectic goodies and colonial-era finds such as gilded tea lights, decorative boxes, vases, tableware, serveware, printed cushions, lamps, antique mirrors, and intricately carved frames to lend your home a well-travelled and worldly feel. A little insider’s tip: give Singapore Trading Post’s outlets a whirl for special and affordable gifts you’re not likely to find anywhere else.

Singapore Trading Post is located at #07-01 Tan Boon Liat Building, 315 Outram Road, Singapore 169074. Open Monday to Saturday, 10am – 5pm
