With three floors to wander through, the shop space is replete with modern Asian inspired furniture, – most of them reclaimed teak wood pieces – lamps, rugs, artworks, tableware and home décor objects, making it a one-stop destination for all your home furnishing needs.
Despite the variety of products available, the main draw here is definitely the finely crafted reclaimed teak wood furniture. The unique grain and time-weathered texture of old wood creates a lovely foundation for the Asian-inspired and mid-century modern aesthetic. Designed by self-taught furniture designer John Erdos himself, each piece of furniture can be customized to form the perfect fit with the unique qualities of your home.
Drawing from a multitude of design influences, John Erdos’ works are highly design-focused and bear the stamp of utility and comfort. The “Palm Springs Collection” was heavily influenced by Post World War II Modernist architecture, whereas the “Studio Collection” is a nod to the Arts and Crafts Movements in America..
To mark the opening of the new showroom, the latest collection – Formes Part II is a celebration of line and form, paying attention to the refined contours and curves that are carved into the aged wood.
The store also carries a full assortment of gifts and accessories including a handpicked selection of Georg Jensen home products.
John Erdos Home is located at 274 River Valley Road, Singapore. Open Monday to Sunday, 10.30am – 6.30pm
