What's New at Westgate

Local fashion is finally being introduced to the heartlands – thanks to the newest mall to hit Singapore: Westgate. Sure, the Jurong district may not be the first place you head to shop for local fashion, but it’s real exciting news for the local industry anyway – it seems only fitting that Singaporeans designers should be sold in Singapore’s heartlands. After all, it is in the heartlands that most Singaporeans call home.

Local fashion lovers can now find three well-loved pop-up stores at Westgate, namely multi-label shop Workshop Element (W.E.) by local designer Alfie Leong; multi-discipline, serial pop-up boutique The Emporium; and online shopping website Modajar’s first foray into the pop-up world.

W.E. (#01-36/37) is currently offering an impressive array of local labels, comprising both established and emerging names. These include Depression, The Society of Black Sheep, Yuki Mitsuyasu, Coupe-Cousu, Pauline Ning, Revasseur, 20:TWOTHREE and Headline Seoul. The store’s product offerings range from men and women’s fashion to accessories – all of which boast great designs and excellent workmanship.

The Emporium (#01-39) needs no introduction. You’ve seen them at Millenia Walk, Wheelock Place, 112 Katong, Raffles City and now, westies rejoice, because you’ll be able to catch them at Westgate as well! As usual, you’ll find local women’s wear labels Triologie and IndyK at the pop-up store, as well as local handcrafted jewellery label Stones That Rock, local furniture store Galanga Living and home furnishings brand The Emporium Home.

Naiise (#01-30) a popular spot for design enthusiasts, Naiise is just the place to tour if you’re in need of original, well-designed products and daily design inspirations. You’ll uncover a distinct range of furniture, home accessories, prints, stationery and even fashion at this multi-concept boutique. Naiise also serves as a platform where designers may promote and showcase their products to wider audiences. We particularly love how they’ve captured the essence of Singapore through quirky local art prints, stationery, accessories and jewellery. Check it out if you’d fancy a little takeaway from this sunny island.

Lastly, look out for local multi-label online store Modajar (#01-43) in its first appearance as a pop-up shop. They will be featuring their collection of designer clothes, accessories and shoes, which are of various brands across the globe. They include French shoe brand Bagllerina, fashion accessory brand Azumi & David from London, French jewellery brand Origami Jewellery, lifestyle brand Firetrap, which offers women and men’s apparel and accessories, and Hartford, a great men’s fashion label that combines “vintage European looks such as Parisian flair, English tradition and Italian exuberance with American ‘cool’.”

Westgate is located at 3 Gateway Drive, Singapore 608532 (Next to Jurong East MRT Station).
