Everyone knows that Seminyak is the place to be in Bali – there’re plenty of restaurants, bars, fashion boutiques and villas, so it really comes as no surprise that there’ve got some great furniture and homeware stores in the area too. Our favourite thing about finding furniture in Seminyak is that each of these stores have infused a Balinese vibe into their designs – for instance, HOBO offers batik patterns on one of their chair designs, Pigment Rouge sells furniture made of wood found in Indonesian forests, and In’Sens Gallery has some great Balinese-inspired furniture designs on display.

Essential Bed & Bath

Fashionable range of bed and bath accessories

Since emerging in the Indonesian home furnishings scene in 2004, Essential Bed & Bath has since expanded into Bali, offering its residents and, of course, enthusiastic travel shoppers its fantastic range of towels, linen, candles, bedroom and bathroom furniture, as well as home accessories. Their belief in melding fashion and style into their homewares is exhibited clearly in each and every one of their pieces, so your house is turned into a home; a tranquil sanctuary that is a perfect reflection of your unique taste.

In’Sens Gallery

Massive home decor showroom

There couldn’t be a better name for In’Sens Gallery; its Kerobokan store looks more like a massive, beautifully curated showroom, or gallery, than just your regular furniture shop. They offer the full works – furniture, lighting, vintage sets, home décor and even paintings for interiors as well as exteriors. It’s basically your one-stop shop for home furnishing needs – and as proof of their design quality, In’Sens Gallery actually designs, supplies and manages interiors and exteriors for hotels, restaurants and villas.

Piment Rouge

Furniture with “ethnic design”

When you visit a furniture store in Bali, you expect to see traditional Balinese-inspired homeware and furniture pieces, like plenty of woods and bamboos – something that French designers Claire Guillot and Ken Vigoni learnt when they first started up Pigment Rouge. That’s why they expanded their collection of beautiful modern contemporary designs in iron and steel to include what they call “ethnic designs”. They’ve also added lighting products to their furniture production line, where each lamp features an ethnic component unique to Indonesia.
