Better known for its pristine beach and hip pubs and restaurants, Petitenget may be a short stretch of road, but it has no lack of homeware shops. Petitenget is full of lovely surprises, such as Skull, a boutique specialising in all things to do with, well, skulls (don’t worry, it’s not as macabre as it sounds). And, of course, there are your regular furniture and homewares shops that present unique, stylish pieces that will have you shopping for hours. Be careful, though – these homewares in Petitenget might make you consider redecorating your home entirely!

Saya Gallery

Tribal and ethnic homeware

Saya Gallery has got an outlet a little closer to the central area of Seminyak, but if you missed it, don’t worry – there’s another outlet that’s equally amazing right here in Petitenget. The furniture store offers tribal and ethnic furniture and homewares, which include decorative arts and home accessories, as well as their own jewellery line. Named ‘Saya by Loraine’, the jewellery line also emits a tribal vibe, featuring unconventional materials like animal bone and horns.

Skull

A tribute to the skull motif

The human race has had an odd fascination with the human skull since pretty much the beginning of time; the skull has appeared in all sorts of cultures and religions throughout the centuries, and has popped up in all forms of art, whether music, fashion, visual art or popular culture. This boutique pays tribute to that, with apparel, homewares, art pieces and even table lamps sold here. The sky’s the limit at Skull, Bali; mostly anything goes – that is, as long as the item features something to do with ever mysterious skull.
